Friends, family, and co-workers gathered on Friday afternoon to honor Dennis Veach with a retirement reception held at the Workforce Services offices in Blytheville.
Dennis Veach (center) was presented a plaque in honor of his years of service and received well wishes in his retirement from Judy Duncan, Area Operation Chief and Ron Snead, Deputy Director for the Department of Workforce Services.

He was presented with a plaque in appreciation of his years of service.
He grew up on the family farm working with his dad and brother. He jokingly said he decided to go find him a real job.
He said he has enjoyed working at the Workforce Services and has always tried to help people and be a good mentor to the staff.
Veach has worked at the same location throughout his career. The office building has been at the same location since 1954 but was renovated and doubled in size in 1990.
Dennis and his wife Margaret welcomed guests throughout the afternoon.
His brother, Randy, said Dennis would have plenty to keep him busy helping on the family farm.
