Floyd Finley, 75, passed away Sunday, Jan. 23, 2011, in Manila.

He was born May 8, 1935, in Elizabeth to the late Harm and Edna Finley. He lived most of his life in the Monette area and was a retired farm worker in Michigan and was of the Baptist belief. He was an honorary member of the V.F.W. in Michigan and liked to whittle, cut wood and working in the yard.

Survivors include his children, Melissa Wagner of Manila, Donna Neisler of Black Oak and Nolen Finley of Leachville; just like a daughter, Linda Lindley of Monette; five sisters, Novella Lane of Kansas City, MO, Lorine Buckabee of Calico Rock, Lucille Parker of Texarkana, Jean Green and Dissie Dunn both of Monette; four grandchildren, Vanessa Clark, Marie Haley, Katie Neisler and Robert Wagner and just like grandchildren, Jessica Collins, Jason Scercy and Tommy Seymore; seven great-grandchildren and special friends, Willard and Geneva Jackson.

He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Scott Neisler; a brother, J. W. Finley and a sister, Roberta McFarland; mother of his children, Linda Finley;longtime companion, Ollie Greer.

A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, Jan. 27, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. at the Gregg Funeral Home in Monette with Rev. Danny Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Monette Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation is Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2011, from 6-8 p.m. at the Gregg Funeral Home in Monette.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Larry Gruver, Steve Lindley, Jerry Lamar, Jason Scercy, Rodney Dicker and Jeremy Shepard and as honorary pallbearers Nolen Finley, Willard Jackson, Robert Wagner and Chase Clark.
