Mrs. Dorthy Sue Adams, 78, of Paragould, widow of Leo Adams, died Monday, Dec. 20, 2010, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born at Leachville, she was the daughter of the late Hillman and Effie Harkey Potter and had lived most of her life in Leachville. Mrs. Adams had lived several years in Paragould and was a charter member of the Second Baptist Church in Paragould. She was retired from the former Brown Shoe Company in Leachville and Monroe Auto Equipment in Paragould. She was currently associated with Flower Shop Network in Paragould.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Terry Lynn Adams, her infant daughter Linda Darlene Adams, her grandson Jeff Adams and her son-in-law Glen Allen Brooks.

She is remembered as a loving mother by her children.

She is survived by two daughters, Phyllis McFarland and her husband Ronnie of Leachville and Donna Brooks of Paragould; two brothers, Bobby Potter and his wife Barbara of Paragould and Bill Potter and his wife Theetta of Paragould; two sisters, Betty Hendrick and Joyce Soloducha, both of Kansas City, Mo.; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Howard Funeral Chapel in Leachville with Rev. Kenny Johnson officiating. Burial followed in Leachville Cemetery.

The family received visitors Wednesday from 1 p.m. until service time at 2 p.m.

Active pallbearers were Bill Storms, Hugh Wayne Rose, Bill Miller, Tommy Eldried, Toby Storms and Rodney Robertson.

Honorary pallbearers include Blake McFarland, Brad Adams, Chad Adams, Bob Gray, A.J. Bandy, Ronnie Kennett and Charles Cobb.
