Monette Manor honors staff

Monette Manor employees received service awards at the annual Christmas employee party. Monette Manor held their employee Christmas party on Monday afternoon recognizing all the staff with a catered meal and gifts. Service awards, employee of the year was named, and door decorating winners were announced.

"We appreciate our staff," Marla Layne, Administrator said. "We had a wonderful survey thanks to the great staff we have.

Layne expressed her appreciation to each and every one of them.

Director of Nursing JoAnn Garrett expressed her appreciation to the staff.

"We have a wonderful facility here and I am glad to be part of it," Garrett said.

Prizes were given for the door decorations with Holly Bird and Wendy Carpenter receiving honorable mentions. Regina Ballard received third place; Laverne Austin, second place and JoAnn Garrett, first place.

Layne presented several service awards. Becky Hawkins, office manager, received a 30 year pin, $150 and a plaque; Margie Collins, LPN, received a 20 year pin, $100 and a plaque. Tina Davis, social director, and Patricia Fortson, LPN, received 15 year pins, $75, and plaques. Three employees, Robbie Skaggs, CNA, Sherry Wilson, CNA, and Stacey Willing, LPN, received 5 year pins and $25 each.

Hawkins presented Mrs. Layne, administrator with a 10 year pin, $50, and a plaque.

Hawkins also recognized the 2010 employees of the month and announced the Employee of the Year, Marla Layne.

Mrs. Layne expressed her appreciation for the award.

"Each of you is deserving of this award and I feel honored to have been chosen," Layne said.
