Roy Wesley McPherson

Roy Wesley McPherson, 94, of Cardwell, Mo., formerly of Leachville, died Sunday, Dec. 5, 2010, at his home. Born in Mayflower, Ark., he was the son of the late John and Dovie Hayes McPherson and had been a Leachville area resident since 1946.

He was married to Sylbia Phillips McPherson on Jan. 8, 1939, and was a retired farmer having farmed in the Paragould and Leachville areas.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, on Dec. 26, 2009; five brothers and two sisters.

He is survived by his son, Sammy McPherson and his wife Kathy of Cardwell; his daughter Frances Phillips and her husband Danny of Gardner, Ill.; four grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. today (Tuesday) in the Howard Funeral Chapel in Leachville. Burial will follow in the Cardwell Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 10 a.m. to service time on Tuesday.
