Carolin Kay Oliver, 66, of Leachville, widow of J.C. Oliver, died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2010, from injuries received in an auto accident near Leachville. Born in Richmond, Calif., she was the daughter of the late Joe Evert and Lyda Irene Jarrett Harrell and had been a longtime Leachville resident. She was a retired floor supervisor and seamstress for the former Brown Shoe Company in Leachville and was a member of the Second Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include three sons, Tommy Oliver, Terry Oliver, and Dennis Oliver, all of Leachville; three sisters, Wanda Harrell of St. Louis, Mo., Ruth Turner of Leachville, and Joyce Thompson of St. Louis, Mo.; five grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Second Baptist Church in Leachville with Rev. Lee Davis officiating. Burial followed in Leachville Cemetery under the direction of Howard Funeral Service of Leachville. The family received visitors Friday from 10 a.m. until service time at the Second Baptist Church.
