Gertha Inez Hamilton, 80, of Manila, widow of Jack Hamilton, died Sunday, Nov. 21, 2010, at the St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born in Cache, Ark., she was the daughter of the late Orville and Lorene Baxley Bryan and was a 1949 graduate of Leachville High School. In 1969 she and her family moved to Mississippi and in 1999 she returned to Manila.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a brother, Howard Bryan.

Survivors include two sons, Jerry Hamilton of Sheridan, and Jimmy Hamilton of Winona, Miss.; a daughter, Betty McDaniel of Manila; a brother, Phillip Bryan of Newark; five sisters, Delora Mae Roberts of Jonesboro, Ann Cornelison of Hot Springs Village, Melba Barnes of Hot Springs Village, Cindy Crawford of Leachville, and Betty Sharon Eish of Highland; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nv. 24, at the Westside Baptist Church in Manila with Rev. Andy Andros and Rev. DeWayne Cornelison officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Walcott under the direction of Howard Funeral Service of Manila.
