Barry Riley receives Chairman's Award
Barry Riley of Caraway was honored last week as a recipient of the 2010 Chairman's Award, during the American Greetings World Headquarters Conference in Cleveland, Ohio.
Riley was one of 18 recipients selected worldwide to receive the award, which celebrates the work and achievements of American Greetings associates.
AG Chairman Marry Weiss presented the award to Riley during the 14th annual all-associate meeting and awards ceremony. The awards are designed to reward qualities such as extraordinary commitment, dedication, leadership, and innovative thinking. It's also an opportunity for every associate to recognize those who go above and beyond the expectations of daily life at work and in personal pursuits.
All AG employees are eligible for the awards and are formally nominated by their colleagues. Once an employee or team is nominated, a select panel of judges reviews the submissions and determines the finalists for each category. Six Chairman's Award categories include Innovation, Continuous Improvement, Excellence in Teamwork, Positive Influence, Personal Expression and Community Service.
Riley has worked for American Greetings in Osceola for 28 years. He is a graduate of Caraway High School. He and his wife Wendy have a daughter, Antoinette Campbell, and a grandson, Gavin.
