Carlon Fay Davis, 70, of Leachville, died Saturday, Oct. 2, 2010, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born at Powe, Mo., she was the daughter of the late John C. and Rosa Mae Jackson Davis and had been a lifelong Northeast Arkansas area resident. Her favorite Bible verse was Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think of you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected (hope in your latter) end."
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Daisy Fletcher, and two brothers, Bob Davis and her twin brother, Marlon Davis.
She is survived by two daughters, Cameo Meadows and her husband Brent of Denton, N.C., Sunny Roberts of Chicago, Ill.; two brothers, Jim Davis of Hemet, Calif., and Chester "Bud" Davis of Brookland; four sisters, Esoline Norman of Lapeer, Mich., Classetta Wheeler of Leachville, Len Burge of Tulsa, Okla., and Duxie Statler of Leachville; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 6, at Howard Funeral Chapel in Leachville with Rev. Bobby Austin officiating. Burial followed in Leachville Cemetery.
