Buffalo Island Central's Lady Mustangs completed the 2010 season with a fifth place finish in the 2A State Golf Championships held Wednesday at the Nutters Chapel Golf and Country Club in Conway.
Conway St. Joseph claimed the state title with a 289 score.
BIC's Sarah Roddy fired a 105, good enough for a ninth place finish and a spot on the 2A All-State team. Lauren Roddy shot a 107 to come in 11th. Brittany Stockton and Rachel Simmons both fired 133's.
"We had a real good year," said BIC Coach Carey Cossey. "I was really proud of the girls. We competed well this week. We were very close to coming in third. I thought we had a very good tournament. We will have all of our golfers back for next year and anticipate another good season."
