Manila traveled to the Sugar Creek Country Club in Piggott Wednesday afternoon and came back with the 3A-3 District Golf Championship. J.J. Helton fired a one over par 73 to lead the Lions to a 244 team score while claiming medalist honors.
Host Piggott shot a team score of 255 to finish runner-up, led by Hayden McMillon's 80.
Tuckerman came in third with a 288 score, Hoxie finished fourth at 295, Corning took fifth with a 297 while Harrisburg came in sixth, shooting a 345.

Manila's Mikayla Shedd qualified for state tournament play as an individual, shooting a score of 118. The girls state tournament began Monday, Sept. 27, at Mountain Ranch.
Buffalo Island Central's Lady Mustangs claimed the 2A-3 District Championship behind Lauren Roddy's medalist round of 96. Sarah Roddy placed second with a 106 while Rachel Simmons shot a 132 as BIC finished with a winning score of 334.
Salem came in second with a team score of 342.
Riverside's Chaney McLean qualified in the state individual division, shooting a 116.
State tournament play will begin Wednesday, Sept. 29, at The Greens at Nutters Chapel in Conway.
Nathan Whitlow claimed medalist honors in the boys division, firing an 80 to lead the Mustangs to a third place finish with a team score of 293. Alex Field shot a 100 while Daniel Davis tallied a 113.
Salem claimed the district title, shooting a team score of 270, nine strokes better than second place Walnut Ridge, who came in with a 279.
Riverside shot a team score of 412, led by Lathe Lunsford's 122. Michael Mann shot a 144 while Adam Casey came in with a 146 score as the Rebels finished fifth.
The 2A Boys State Championships will be played at Turkey Mountain Country Club in Horseshoe Bend. Play begins Monday, Oct. 4.
