Monette birthdays celebrated

The Monette Senior Citizen Center celebrated September birthdays last week with cake and all the trimmings. Ladies being honored were Wanda Lacey, 69, Louise McFarlin, 90, and Vista Finley, 91.

Friends and relatives joined the trio in the birthday celebration. They enjoyed a festive meal and desserts afterwards.

Second graders from Buffalo Island Central West Elementary came to present a musical program, which included several songs. The students are currently observing "Grandparents Day."
