John Ervin Jehlen Jr., 51, a resident of Russellville, died Monday, Sept. 6, 2010.
He was born Jan. 7, 1959, at Pine Bluff to John E. "Jack" and Mary Ellen Isom Jehlen. He had been an engineering supervisor at Arkansas Nuclear One in Russellville and was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the River Valley RC Club and the Theta Tau engineering fraternity. He was also an Eagle Scout.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Veach Jehlen of Russellville; his children, Jordan Blakely Jehlen of Conway, Lindi and Mike Wade of Jonesboro, and David and Jessica Morris of Russellville; three grandsons, Hayden Wade, and Drake and Brody Morris; his aunts, Ida Chambliss and Shirley Walker; his uncles, Milburn "Bud" Isom and Rex Jehlen; and his mother-in-law, Janice Veach.
The funeral was held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 9, 2010, at Shinn Chapel with the Rev. Roy Smith officiating. Burial was in Rest Haven Memorial Park at Russellville under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service.
Active pallbearers were David Morris, Mike Wade, Christopher Clingan, Tom Dicken, Tommy Veach and Robbie Veach.
Honorary pallbearers were members of the System Engineering Support Group at ANO and members of the River Valley RC Club.
