Gold Club to sponsor scramble

The Gold Club will sponsor a 2-person scramble at Big Lake Country Club in Manila on Saturday, Sept. 18. The golf event will support the Manila High School boys basketball team.

There will be a 3-point and free throw contest from 10-11 a.m.; a chipping contest from noon to 1 p.m.; and a putting contest from 11 a.m. to noon.

The scramble will begin at 1 p.m. with a meal served following the scramble. All prizes will be awarded after the meal.

Entry fee is $50 per team. Plaques will be awarded for the top three teams for three flights. There will also be hole prizes, door prizes, contest prizes and raffles.

Sign-up forms are available at Big Lake Country Club. The tournament will be open to the first 30 teams.
