Thomas J.C. Oliver, 71, of Leachville, died Friday, July 30, 2010, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. Born at Lawton, Ark., he was the son of the late Jewel Clay Oliver and had been a lifelong Leachville area resident. He was a retired electrician and maintenance worker with Colson Caster Company in Monette, retirement wasn't for him so he went to work for Dollar General in Leachville where he was presently employed. He was a longtime member of the Second Baptist Church in Leachville.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Larnora Reeves.

Survivors include his wife, Carolin Harrell Oliver of the home; two sons, Tommy Oliver and Terry Oliver, both of Leachville; his mother, Buna Marie Manthy of Marianna; two brothers, Elton Oliver of Newton, N.C., and Charles Oliver of Wynne; a sister, Jean Tindell of West Memphis; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Second Baptist Church in Leachville with Rev. Lee Davis officiating.

The family received visitors Sunday evening from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at the Second Baptist Church.

Serving as pallbearers were Bob Crites, Spencer Selby, Robert Clowers, Johnny Hawkins, Jim Burrier and Mack Bounds.
