Funeral services for Helen J. Fleeman of Gamaliel, AR, were 10 a.m. Friday, May 14, 2010, at Kirby & Family Funeral home chapel with Reverend R.L. Custer and Reverend Jim Greenslade officiating. Visitation was 5-8 p.m. Thursday, May 13, at the funeral home in Mountain Home.

Helen died Wednesday, May 12, 2010, at Baxter Regional Medical Center, at the age of 74. She was born Sept. 29, 1935, in Kennett, Mo., the daughter of Clyde Oak and Inize Mae Mifflin Scarbrough. She married J.D. Fleeman on Aug. 31, 1955, at Hernando, Miss., and worked as a sales clerk 47 years for Delta Drug in Manila. Helen lived in Gamaliel since 2006 moving from Manila. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Manila prior to moving to Gamaliel after which she joined the Three Rivers Biker Church. She enjoyed cooking, baking, crocheting and knitting.

Helen is survived by her son, Ronnie Paul Davis of Norfork; daughter, Lisa Carol (David) Stutts of Gamaliel; two grandchildren, Sarah Michelle (Richard) Bowden and Gavin Willis Stutts; and three sisters, Elsie Sammans of Highland Ranch, Colo., Maxine Davis of St. Louis, Mo., and Syrilda Holmes of Blytheville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one sister, Meta Ann Scarbrough.

Burial was in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery with Myron Mattingly, Rhett McManigell, Bill McMeecham, Cameron Davis, Carl Counts and Nick Stutts as pallbearers.

Memorials may be made to the Three Rivers Biker Church.
