Walnut Ridge ended Buffalo Island Central's baseball season with a 4-2 victory in the first round of the 2A Regional Tournament Friday afternoon at Marked Tree.

Marmaduke defeated BIC 10-5 in the semifinals later in the day. Mark Stone went 1-4 and drove in a pair of runs while Brent Ray added a hit and a run.
BIC dropped the consolation game Tuesday afternoon, losing to Rector 14-3. Cody Hager picked up the win for the Cougars, going seven innings, allowing no earned runs and six hits.
Nathan Whitlow took the loss for the Mustangs, pitching three innings of four hit ball. Whitlow gave up five earned runs and struck out a batter. Ben Cole and Mark Stone led BIC at the plate with a pair of hits apiece.
The Mustangs finish the season with a 14-14 record.
