Josh McCormick blasted a three-run home run and Wes Colbert pitched a two-hitter to lead Buffalo Island Central to a 19-2 shellacking of Black Rock Monday afternoon on the road.

Isaac Ibanez rapped three hits on the day while Colbert and Ben Cole added two hits apiece.

Black Rock's only runs came on a two-run homer off the bat of Trevor Vincent.

The Mustangs traveled to Armorel Tuesday afternoon, dropping a 7-3 decision to the host Tigers. Zach Skelton pitched a complete game, striking out 11 Mustangs to earn the victory for Armorel. Skelton also had a pair of hits and added two RBIs.

Mark Stone drilled an RBI double for BIC.

The Mustangs ended the week losing a tough 16-13 2A-3 conference game at Marmaduke. BIC jumped to a 7-0 lead after two innings but couldn't hang on as the Greyhounds rallied for the win.

BIC will return to action Monday afternoon with a road trip to Bay before closing the regular season with at Westside on Tuesday. The Mustangs begin 2A-3 district tournament play Friday afternoon at Marked Tree.
