Roth retires after 33 years

Jane Roth received well wishes from her friends and co-workers at the Manila Library on Wednesday afternoon, her last day on the job. Roth has worked with the Mississippi County Library serving as Manila Librarian for 33 years.

"It has been a great 33 years," Roth said.

She said she will miss the patrons and the beautiful facility at Manila. It has been a career Roth has enjoyed.

Roth has no doubt she is leaving the library in good hands as Mary Alice Ketchum will be the Manila Librarian. Ketchum has worked part-time at the Manila Library for 10 years.

Roth will be moving to Southaven, Miss.

"You never really leave your hometown," Roth said. "I will be back to visit."
