Jacob Charles "J.C." Martin, Jr., 16, of Paragould died Monday, April 5, 2010, at Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock after a brave battle with cancer. He was born Oct. 10, 1993, to Jacob Charles Martin, Sr. and Pamela N. Brasfield in Kennett, Mo. He was a member of the Senath Full Gospel Church, a sophomore at Greene County Tech High School, an avid NASCAR fan, enjoyed four wheelers, and loved working on cars and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include his parents; two brothers, Brandon Martin of Paragould and Gary of Caruthersville, Mo.; a sister, Rennee Elizabeth Delagarza of Leachville; his grandfather; "Dad" James Brasfield, Sr. of Paragould; great-aunt Bertha Ray of Monette; great-Grandma; Lizzie Barnes; nine uncles, four aunts and a host of other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by "Momma" Sharon Brasfield.
Funeral services were held at the Senath Full Gospel Church in Senath, Mo., 10 a.m., Thursday, April 8, with the Rev. Andy Smith officiating.
Interment was in the Leachville Cemetery.
The family received visitors from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 7, at the Senath Full Gospel Church.
Faith Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements.
