Tressie V. Ramsey

Tressie V. Ramsey, 69, of Caraway, passed away Sunday, March 7, 2010, at St. Bernards Medical Center.

She was born Dec. 11, 1940, in Caruthersville, Mo., to the late James and Paulene Millikan. Mrs. Ramsey was a homemaker and a member of the Caraway First Baptist Church. She loved gardening, yard work and carpentry.

Survivors include her husband, Edwin "Chick" Ramsey; two sons, Edwin F. Ramsey Jr of Jerome, Idaho and Vincent B. Ramsey and wife Ann of Thief River Fall, Minn.; two daughters and their husbands, Anita and Gary Don Hurst and Pamela and Tony Milligan all of Caraway; a brother, Ted Milliken of Collierville, Tenn.; a sister and her husband, Helen and Charles Lynn of Wynne; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Walter James Ramsey; a brother, Cleveland Earl Millikan and a grandson, Dewayne Anthony Ramsey.

A celebration of her life was held on Wednesday, March 10, at 2 p.m. at the Caraway First Baptist Church with Rev. Rick Stevens officiating. Burial followed in Caraway Cemetery under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home of Caraway.

Visitation was from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Gregg Funeral Home in Caraway.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are the Deacons of the Caraway First Baptist Church and as honorary pallbearers are the First Responders and EMT's of Caraway.
