Both Dalton and his sister finished well last year. Dalton won a trophy and jacket for Overall High Points in the 10 and under division. He also placed eighth in the Arkansas State Horse show held in September in Little Rock. He was second in his division qualifying him for state competition. The top five in each district go on to state.
Dalton's horse is named Sparkie. They have been competing together for three years.
Madison won first place in Lead Line in the six and under division. Her pony is named Cookie. Madison enjoys dressing up in her western wear.
They both ride in the Western Pleasure, Pony Barrels, and Pony Poles.
In addition to the Northeast Arkansas Horseshow Association, they ride in the American Quarter Horse Association. The closed meets for the Hitchcocks are held in Tunica and Memphis.
They are planning to participate in the Dixie Nationals in Jackson, Miss., on Feb. 18.
The Hitchcock family all agree they enjoy the time they spend together participating in the horse shows. They have made a lot of good friends and are looking forward to a good year.
