Buffalo Island Central suffered a pair of 2A-3 conference losses last week, losing 61-52 Friday night to Turrell after dropping a 69-42 decision to East Poinsett County Tuesday night at Monette.

Rashad Madden drilled six three pointers en route to a 29 point performance in EPC's 27 point victory over BIC. EPC improves to 21-2 overall and 11-0 in league play, stretching their victory streak to 19 straight games. Byron Ford added 16 points, including four treys for the Warriors, who held a 34-19 halftime lead before entering the final frame with a 56-33 bulge.

Daniel Davis led BIC with 11 points.

Deandre Price and Warren Boyd scored 21 and 20 points respectively to power Turrell past BIC Thursday night. The Rockets (19-6, 10-1 2A-3) led 40-26 at the half before the Mustangs rallied in the third quarter, outscoring Turrell 14-6 to close the gap to 46-40 entering the final period.

Daniel Davis scored a game high 23 points to lead BIC while Brandon Atkeison added 16 more.

Lady Mustangs

The Lady Mustangs defeated Turrell 56-51 Thursday night to improve to 19-8 overall and 9-2 in 2A-3 conference play. Freshman sensation Brittany Fowler's 21 points and 11 rebounds led BIC. Shelby Qualls and Taylor Owens added 10 points apiece while Hayley Parker pulled down 10 rebounds for the Lady Mustangs.

Erica Chance scored 19 points while Porsha Bedford added 16 more to lead Turrell.

East Poinsett County picked up a crucial 66-52 victory over BIC Monday night at the Mustang Athletic Complex, pulling even with the Lady Mustangs for first place in the 2A-3 conference standings.

Lady Warrior Brittany Ball recorded a double-double, scoring 19 points while adding 10 rebounds. Teammate Keyerah Young also contributed a double-double with 15 points and 10 boards. Terrika Madden scored 11 points.

Brittany Fowler led all scorers with 27 points to pace the Lady Mustangs while Jenna Pike added 12 points.

EPC led 15-13 after the first quarter and 32-22 at the half. The Lady Warriors took a 50-38 lead into the final frame.

In junior high action, BIC rolled to a 47-32 victory behind Brittany Stockton's 13 point and 10 rebound performance. Kaylee Greathouse added 12 more as BIC improved to 16-5 on the season.
