Teresa Ladd Ashley, 57, of Jonesboro, died Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2010, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro.
Born in Monette, Teresa lived there before moving to Jonesboro in 1993. She was a senior vice president and human resources officer for Liberty Bank of Jonesboro. Teresa was a member of Nettleton Baptist Church and Jonesboro Chamber of Commerce where she was a past board member and Goodwill Ambassador chairman.
Teresa was a member of the University Rotary Club where she was also a past board member and secretary. She was a member of Jonesboro Junior Auxiliary and numerous banking organizations and schools.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Burke Ladd, and her mother, Junie Onita Qualls Ladd.
Survivors include her brother and sister-in-law: Larry and Marsha Ladd of Lake City; stepmother, Lavern Ladd of Caraway; four stepsisters, Barb Philhours of Jonesboro, Glenda McConkey of Hermitage, Tenn., and Kathleen Miller and Cindy Mancuso, both of Denham Springs, La.; three nephews and spouse, Dr. Dale Ladd of Batesville, and Ryan Ladd and Justin and Amy Ladd, all of Jonesboro; three great-nephews, Drew Ladd, Jacob Ladd and Andy Ladd; a great-niece, Ashlin Ladd, and a great-great-niece, Bella Austin.
Funeral services were 10 a.m. Friday in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Dustin Finch officiating. MaLeisa Finch delivered the eulogy. Burial followed in Macey Cemetery near Monette with Larry Owens officiating.
Active pallbearers included Dr. Dale Ladd, Ryan Ladd, Justin Ladd, Drew Ladd, John Lee Ashley, Kain Ashley, Brent Coggin, Neal Wimberley and Lee Wimberley.
Visitation was Thursday evening, 4:30-7:30, at Emerson Memorial Chapel.
