Buffalo Island Central extends superintendent's contract

Buffalo Island Central School Board members voted unanimously to extend Superintendent George Edd Holland's contract by one year (2012-13) at the Thursday, Jan. 7, meeting.

In other business the board voted to participate in the State of Arkansas grant application for Race to the Top funding.

The board accepted the resignation of Roland Wells, junior high principal, effective at the end of the 2009-10 school year.

Superintendent Holland updated the board on stimulus plan status informing them all information had been submitted in December and the district is waiting on approval.
