Agnes Elizabeth Crittendon

Agnes Elizabeth Crittendon, 85, of Leachville, widow of Woodrow Wilson Crittendon, died Saturday, Jan. 9, 2010, at her home. Born at Leachville, she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Mary Olive Bishoff Mathis. Mrs. Crittendon had lived in St. Louis and Hot Springs, but returned to her Leachville home in 1997 following the death of her husband.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Johnny Crittendon, three sisters, and a brother.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Leachville.

Survivors include two sons, Michael Crittendon and his wife Tina and Bobby Joe Crittendon and his wife Patsy, all of Trumann; two daughters, Maxine Birdsong of Wentzville, Mo., and Sandra Morrison of Bay; a brother, Jerry Mathis of Jonesboro; a sister, Jeannie Rodgers of Bay; 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 14, at First Baptist Church in Leachville with Pastor David Price, Dennis Birdsong and Phillip Rodgers officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Howard Funeral Service.
