Kam Ashabranner and Blake Wheeler combined for 40 points as Manila destroyed Tuckerman 84-38 Tuesday night at Tuckerman.
Ashabranner scored a game high 22 points while Wheeler chipped in 18 more. Levi Wallace tallied 14 points as the Lions improved to 6-0 overall and 3-0 in 3A-3 conference play.
In junior high action, Manila took home a 51-50 win over the Bulldogs.
The Lady Lions also remained unbeaten on the season, winning a 61-58 overtime thriller at Gosnell Monday night.
Kimberly Wise, who led Manila with 24 points, scored seven overtime points to pace the Lady Lions in scoring. Wise drilled a three pointer with six seconds left in regulation to give Manila a 54-51 lead, but Gosnell's Brittany Taylor answered with a triple at the buzzer, sending the game into overtime.
Freshman Courtney Craine and senior Carla Kemp added 13 and 11 points respectively for the Lady Lions.
The Manila boys will travel to Blytheville Tuesday night to take on the Chickasaws in a game that was added to the regular season schedule in place of an open date. The Lions will host Brookland Friday night in 3A-3 conference action.
The Lady Lions will play host to the Gerald Jennings Holiday Tournament beginning Monday afternoon. The tournament will run through Saturday.
