Riverside saw its record drop to 3-5 on the season with a pair of losses last week. The Rebels dropped a 68-57 decision to Ridgefield Christian Tuesday night in Jonesboro, before falling to Bay 75-47 Friday night at Lake City.
Bay placed five players in double figures and improved to 11-1 on the year in the Yellowjacket's victory Friday night. Troy Brown recorded a double-double, scoring 13 points while grabbing 11 rebounds to lead the way. Ryan Ragan, Damien Holt and Zac Carmer all scored 11 points apiece while Gunner Freeman added 10.
Jake Love led the Rebels with a game high 18 points while Josh Anderson scored nine points and grabbed 10 rebounds.
Ridgefield Christian placed three players in double figures in the win over Riverside Tuesday night. Adam Morgan led Ridgefield with 21 points while Adam Thrasher and Matt Pierce pumped in 19 and 17 points respectively.
Ridgefield Christian outscored Riverside 18-3 in the second quarter to break a 16-16 tie, and took a 34-19 lead into the dressing room at the half. The Warriors stretched their advantage to 52-31 after the third period. Riverside outscored Ridgefield 26-16 in the last quarter, but saw their comeback fall short.
Jake Love led Riverside with 22 points while Jake Emery added 12.
In junior high action, Riverside rolled over Ridgefield 53-29 as Alteeno Sain pumped in 17 points while Braden Peaster added 15 more. Riverside dropped a 50-47 decision Friday night against Bay.
Riverside will return to action Tuesday night, taking on arch-rival Buffalo Island Central at Caraway.
