Riverside picked up a pair of non-conference victories last week, defeating Gosnell 73-64 on the road before taking a 59-50 win over Crowley's Ridge Academy Thursday night at Caraway.
Junior transfer Meagan Goza poured in a season high 42 points while grabbing 12 rebounds to lead the Lady Rebels past Gosnell. Freshman Lauren Weaver just missed recording a double-double, scoring 14 points while adding nine boards. Riverside held a 20-14 lead after the first period before stretching their advantage to 38-22 at the half. The Lady Rebels took a 54-34 lead into the final frame and held on for the win.
Michelle Cobb scored eight points, Kyley Campbell netted five while Becca Frayer added four to round out the Riverside scoring on the night. The Lady Rebels hit 25-32 free throws and drilled four three pointers.
Candice Miller led Gosnell with 21 points while Kemako Soward added 15 more for the Lady Pirates. Gosnell connected on 14-22 free throws and nailed eight three pointers on the night.
Meagan Goza scored 12 of her 28 points in the first quarter, leading Riverside to a nine point victory over CRA Thursday night. The Lady Rebels also got double digits from Michelle Cobb, who had 15 points, while Becca Frayer added 11 points, six assists and three steals. Lauren Weaver and Ashley Calvert tallied two points apiece while Kyley Campbell added one to round out the Riverside scoring attack.
Lindsey Killough led the Lady Falcons with 22 points while Ashlyn Abbott added 17 more for CRA.
In junior high action, Riverside also swept a pair of games, defeating CRA 41-17 after getting past Gosnell 39-23 on Monday night.
Anna Brickell scored nine points while Emilee Manues and Kenzley Wilson added seven points apiece in Riverside's victory over CRA. Gatlin Hale and Emily Jordan scored five points apiece while Ashlynn Snyder and Lindsey Bennett added four points each.

Riverside will return to action Monday night when they host Nettleton at Lake City before closing out the week with a road trip to Weiner Thursday night.
The Junior Lady Rebels will participate in the Bay Invitational Tournament beginning Monday night at Bay.
