Buffalo Island Central continued their early season struggles, dropping a trio of games last week in senior boys basketball action.

Heath Hawkins and Daniel Davis both hit double digits with 10 points apiece while Brandon Atkeison pitched in eight points. James Tate scored three, Adrian Mondragon netted two while Brent Ray added one point to round out the Mustang scoring for the night.
Kam Ashabranner led Manila with a game high 18 points while Levi Wallace also hit double figures scoring 14 more to pace the Lion attack. Garrett Scott tallied eight, J.J. Helton scored seven, Jared Burks netted six, Blake Wheeler had five while Taylor Morgan and Zack Day added three points apiece. Blake Miller and Blake Carr rounded out the Lion scoring with two points each.
BIC closed out the week with a 72-57 loss at Yellville. Heath Hawkins drilled five three pointers while piling up 19 points to lead the Mustangs in scoring. Daniel Davis also hit double digits with 12 points.
In junior high action, Manila picked up a 46-27 win over the Mustangs. Dylan Bogle pumped in 17 points while Zack Reinhart added 11 more for the Lions. Dustin Sirman scored six, Tyler Platz had four while Scott Eubanks, Kyle Joyner, Gavin Parker and Caleb Reinhart added two points apiece.
Chris Shirley led BIC with nine points. Dilynn Strickland scored eight, Nick Bollinger netted five, Justin Barnes tallied three while Austin Mostrong added two points for the Mustangs.
BIC will return to action Tuesday night when they travel to Westside to take on the Warriors. The Mustangs will host Ridgefield Christian Friday night at the Mustang Athletic Complex.
The Junior Mustangs will also participate in the Bay Invitational Tournament beginning Monday night at Bay.
