Rosalie Williams was born Nov. 3, 1918 in Manila, the daughter of Robert Veach and Dilliu (Flag) Veach. She departed this life Oct. 31, 2009 at the age of 90 years. Rosalie Veach was United in marriage to Aaron Williams Nov. 2, 1948. He preceded her in death June 1, 2005. Mrs. Williams was a homemaker, loved reading the Bible and quilting. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Manila where she was a Sunday School teacher and Calvary Baptist Church in Corning.
Mrs. Williams is survived by a son, Rev. Sunny Williams, two daughters, Bobbie Shanks of Manila and Willie Faye Dobbs of Lost Cane; five grandchildren & 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Aaron Williams; a son, Randolph "Rudy" Williams in 2004, three brothers, Donald, Roy and Raydo Veach; two sisters, Effie Seratt and Lorene Baugher.
Visitation was 1 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church in Manila with funeral services at 3 p.m. Burial followed in the Manila Cemetery.
