Pearson honored with reception

On hand to wish Dumetra Pearson a happy retirement were four of her co-workers who were there to welcome her to the bank 22 years ago. Together the five have 120 years of banking experience. Pearson has worked at the bank for 22 years and called it a pleasure to work her the people.

Sherri Coffman, vice president business development and marketing, said she will be missed.

"She has been a great employee and we wish her the best of luck in her retirement," Coffman said.

She received a telephone call during the reception from her young great-grandson who could not be there but wanted to express his congratulations to "MeeMaw."

Steve May, Heritage Bank president/CEO, was on hand to wish her well.

"We have worked together for over 17 years and it has been a pleasure to work with her," May said. "She has been a constant with our bank and held our crew together delivering excellent service to our customers. We will miss her and wish her well. I hope she enjoys herself and her family."

She had a chance to reminisce about her early days at the bank with co-workers who were there when she started including Debbie Taylor, Lesia Couch, Debbie Austin and Gundel Martin.

"It has been a wonderful place to work and I will miss everyone," Pearson said.
