Jason Baltimore, technology coordinator for the Manila School District, said he read about the grant in the Town Crier and applied.

"I am very pleased our school was selected for one of the grants," Baltimore said. "The document cameras will be used in the elementary classrooms giving the teachers more materials to share with their students without having to make a lot of copies which will save money for the school."

"CenturyTel is pleased to be able to support this high-tech instructional program at Manila schools," Skip Layne, CenturyTel's area operations manager, said. "Our area schools are doing a great job moving forward in technology,"

Also on hand for the presentation at Manila was Billy Watson, CenturyTel area plant supervisor.
