Nora Ann Pasley, 77, of Manila, died Sunday, July 26, 2009, at the Manila Nursing Center in Manila. Born at Jackson, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Mary Thomas Jones and had been a longtime Manila area resident. She had worked several years as a nurses aid for the late Dr. Shaneyfelt and as a seamstress for Brown Shoe Company. She was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church in Manila.
She is survived by her husband, Henry Pasley of Manila; a son, Henry Wayne Pasley of Osceola; a daughter, Delores Williams of Manila; three brothers, Charles Jones of Jackson, Tenn., Tommy Jones of Medina, Tenn., Bill Jones of Nashville, Tenn.; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren, as well as many other people who affectionately called her "Granny."
The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 28, at the Howard Funeral Chapel in Manila with Rev. Eddie Hawkins officiating. Burial was in the Manila Cemetery. The family received visitors Tuesday from noon until time of service.
