The Rattlers, coached by Darrell Birmingham, dominated their opponents, outscoring them by a whopping 446-57 margin in capturing the overall league championship as well as the Manila Invitational Title.
"It was an awesome experience to coach a very good and talented bunch of kids," said Birmingham. "They deserved it. They outworked their opponents and wanted every game."
Birmingham's Rattlers proved to be a very dedicated team, practicing as many as 40 times before ever playing a game.
"These kids are so dedicated," said Birmingham. They eat, live and breathe baseball. "The only game we had all season that was really close was against the Jonesboro Cyclone All-Star team. We were ahead after one hour in the regulation game and had to play an extra inning, but we came out on top."
"My assistant coaches, Scott Gifford and Don Brumley, did an outstanding job," continued Birmingham. "We couldn't have accomplished what we did without their hard work and effort. The support of the parents was outstanding. I can't say enough good things about them."
Team members are Jacob Tarver, Garrett Hart, Sasha Pannells, Cade Cater, Hunter Vulerich, Layne Sims, Alex Walsh, Brock Birmingham, Miles Gifford, Joel Burrow, David Keyes and Dalton Brumley.
