James Wendell Macon, 64, of Delaware, Ohio, died May 23, 2009, in Columbus, Ohio. He was born July 25, 1944, in Manila. He was a retired foreman for an orange grove in Florida. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Macon, a brother, David Macon, two sons, Jimmy Macon and Eric Macon, and a daughter, Melissa Macon.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Macon of Delaware, Ohio, two daughters, Tracey Bailey of Georgia and Michelle Kennedy of Delaware, Ohio; his mother, Rosie Macon Lutz of Manila; seven sisters, Virginia Hart, Shirley Hice, Faye (Floyd) Shepperson, all of Manila, Velma Holt of Leachville, Geneva (Willard) Jackson of Manila, Lavonda (James) Newton and Juanita Reed, both of Manila; and six grandchildren.
A memorial service was held at 3 p.m. Thursday, May 28, at the Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola with Brother Huey Meherg officiating.
