Wayne Taylor Memorial Golf Tournament Planned

Members of the planning committee for the Wayne Taylor Memorial Golf Tournament met on Friday, May 8, to finalize plans for the upcoming tournament. This will be the 11th year for the Wayne Taylor Memorial Golf Tournament which benefits students attending Arkansas Northeastern College from the Buffalo Island and Bootheel of Missouri areas.

Taylor, who was a member of the ANC Foundation Board of Governors and served as chairman, was instrumental in the establishment of the tournament. Following his death, the name of the tournament was changed to honor him for the work he did and support he gave toward education.

This year's tournament, a three-person scramble, is scheduled for Tuesday, June 9, at the Big Lake Country Club in Manila. The entry fee is $90 per team excluding cart rentals, and lunch will be provided. Major tournament sponsors are Centurytel, Bigg Butts BBQ, First National Bank, Heritage Bank, Liberty Bank, SouthBank, Chapter AC PEO, and Janet, Mike and Jon Taylor.
