Riverside's Frayer wins state 100 Meters
Freshman flash Rebekah Frayer opened eyes around the state of Arkansas, winning the 100 Meter Dash at the Class 2A State Track Meet Wednesday afternoon at Texarkana. Frayer's winning time of 12.996 seconds makes her the fastest girl trackster in the state of Arkansas at the AA level.
Frayer's victory propels the freshman to Wednesday's Overall Meet of Champions to be held at Lake Hamilton High School in Hot Springs. Frayer came within an eyelash of a double-double, finishing second in the 200 Meter Sprint.
Frayer teamed with Morgan Emery, Taylor Boness and Kyley Campbell to take home eighth place in the 4x100 Meter Relay event, giving Frayer 20 points for the day.
Katey Campbell, Michelle Cobb, Kyley Campbell and Morgan Emery competed in the 4x800 Meter Relay event while senior Kailey Holt competed in the High Jump.
Riverside's boys also competed in the state meet, as Cameron Casey finished tenth in the 200 Meter Dash while Jake Love came home thirteenth in the 100 Meters.
The Rebel's 4x100 Meter Relay team of Casey, Love, Tyler Warhurst, and Josh Anderson took home twelfth place.
