The Buffalo Island Central West elementary basketball teams and coaches recently collected money to donate to the Ronald McDonald House in Memphis. Coaches and team members delivered the donations of food and money.

Businesses donating to the teams efforts include: 101.9 KISS FM Radio, Jonesboro; All-Star Sporting Goods, Paragould; Debbie Davis, stylist, Hair Loft, Lake City; Farmers Market, Monette; Greenway Farm Equipment, Monette; McFarlin Pharmacy, Monette; Nostalgia Sports World, Jonesboro; Printer's Ink, Paragould; Purcell Tire Company, Jonesboro; and Rene Copeland, stylist, The Roman Touch, Jonesboro.

"We appreciate everyone who supported the benefit," Coach Robbie Shirley said. "We hope to do it again next year and have other teams from other schools join us. The Ronald McDonald House offers a wonderful service to the children and their families during a difficult time."
