James Edward Hice

James Edward Hice, 72, of Luxora died Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2009, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born at Scott, he was a farm worker and of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife, Mildred Smith Hice; children, Patricia Platt of Brookland, Linda Owens of Jonesboro and Bud Batchelor of Osceola; sisters, Wanda Ramsey of Proctor and Ruby Collinger of Leachville; brothers, Carl, Bobby and Gerald Hice, all of Osceola; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Wilson's Blytheville Funeral Home with burial in Pine Log Cemetery near Brookland.
