Manila seniors honored

Manila High School Booster Club honored senior basketball players on Tuesday night before the last home basketball game of the 2008-09 season.

Basketball players and their parents were recognized. Each senior received a plaque and presented their mothers with a bouquet of flowers.

Honored were Colleen Kemp, daughter of Rhonda Bishop and Gregg Kemp; Rebekah White, daughter of Robert and Nancy White; Joe Thompson, son of Effie Thompson; Nathan Bell, son of Paula and the late Robert Bell; Kyle Evans, son of Shane and Tammy Evans.

Colleen and Rebekah have both played basketball at Manila since elementary school wearing the Lady Lion uniform for nine years each. Kyle has also played basketball for nine years and Nathan for five years. Joe has played for two years.
