Sue Workman, 78, of Manila, died Friday, Feb. 13, 2009, at her home. She was born Feb. 11, 1931, in the Lost Cane Community near Manila, to the late Walter David and Lillie Bell Lane Vastbinder. She was a homemaker, a member of the Little River Missionary Baptist Church, and an active participant in the Manila Alumni Association.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Workman.

She is survived by her children, Jeanne McCullough and husband, Allen, and Terri Fleeman, all of Manila; and David Workman and wife, Chandra, of Paragould; four sisters-in-law and their husbands, Agnes Canamore of Lilbourn, Mo., Helen and Joe Perkins of Elaine, Bernell and Jimmy Baugher of Manila, and Laura Bewley of Russellville; six grandchildren, Freddie Russell Fleeman, Jodie Emmert, Christopher Fleeman, and Joshua McCullough, all of Manila, and Alexandria Thresher and Michael Wyatt of Paragould; and a great-grandchild, Siarra Fleeman of Leachville.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 15, at the Little River Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. G.W. Endicott officiating. Burial was in the Manila Cemetery.

The family received visitors Saturday evening at Cobb Funeral Home in Blytheville.
