Kam Ashabranner scored a game high 19 points, while Blake Wheeler and Dillon Hargrove added 15 points apiece. Heath Hawkins, Ben Cole, and Brent Ray all tallied two each for the Mustangs, who hit 8 of 13 foul shots while ripping seven three pointers on the night.
BIC lead 18-14 after the first break and 29-21 at the half. The Mustangs held a 45-38 lead entering the final quarter. Blake McCarroll scored 14 points while Tyler Kirklin added 12 more to lead the Cougars, who hit 9 of 18 free throws while making two treys.
In junior high action, BIC edged Rector 42-41 behind Daniel Davis' 16 points. Josh McCormick and Mark Stone had nine points apiece while Blake Carr and James Tate added four points each.
The Mustangs began the week with a 66-28 victory over Cross County. Josh McCormick led the way with 13 points while Logan Dewitt and Daniel Davis also hit double digits with 11 and 10 points respectively. Mark Stone and James Tate tallied eight points apiece while Wes Colbert tallied three. Forrest Robertson, Alex Field, and Blake Carr all pitched in two points each.
The Mustangs will return to the hard court when they travel to Bay on Tuesday night. BIC will close out the regular season when they take on Manila in Senior A and B action Friday night on the road.
