Monette Manor was recently recognized by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) as a top rated Five Star Home in Arkansas.
The rating system was the first of its kind in the state. The report rated all Medicare/Medicaid approved homes in Arkansas on a scale of one to five stars with five stars being excellent. The rating was judged by each facility's performance in past surveys, staffing and quality measures. The overall scores were based on a three year average.
Monette Manor Administrator Marla Layne credits the home's excellent rating on its caring and dedicated staff, Physician Dr. Dennis Parten, and great community involvement.
"These caregivers strive to do the best possible job each day to provide specialized care for the residents of Monette Manor," Layne said. "It is truly a family atmosphere that makes it such a wonderful home for our residents. All departments, nursing, rehabilitation services, social/activities, dietary, housekeeping, laundry, maintenance and office staff contributed to the five star rating. It takes everyone working together to continue to provide excellent care to our family of residents. I appreciate the job everyone does and we will strive to continue our excellent care and reputation.
In appreciation for their dedicated service, Monette Manor hosted a luncheon for all employees on Monday afternoon. A steak luncheon, catered by Mel's of Harrisburg, was served by office personnel. Carry-out dinners were delivered to Dr. Parten's office for all of the staff, and Monette Discount Drugs and McFarland Pharmacy in Monette.
Monette Manor owner Rick Samson attended the luncheon thanking the staff personally for a job well done.
