A.Z. Elrod

A.Z. Elrod, 65, of Etowah died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2009. He was born at Lepanto to the late Pete and Redis Elrod. He was an Army veteran and an Osceola school bus driver.

Survivors include his wife, Frances Elrod, of Etowah; children, Melissa Bradford and A.Z. Elrod, Jr., both of Etowah, Katie Sanders of Joiner, Kim Bruce of Lakeland, Tenn., Conchata Brown of Blytheville, Jean Croom of Leachville, and Eugene Daniel of Manila; siblings, Effie Mae Steen of Marked Tree, Martha Gail Richards of Hughes and Earnest Elrod of Osceola; 19 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Services were held at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 23, in Wilson's Osceola Funeral Home with burial in Potter Cemetery.
