Lady Rebels trounce Thunderbirds 69-19
Riverside jumped to a 32-3 first period lead on their way to a resounding 69-19 victory over Cross County Monday night at Cherry Valley.
Katey Campbell drained four triples on her way to a 21 point performance to lead the Lady Rebels. Riverside led 46-10 at halftime and carried a 61-16 lead into the fourth quarter. The Lady Rebels also got 14 points from senior post player Brianna Driver.
Riverside, who finished 11-19 from the foul line, drained eight treys on the night. Kyley Campbell scored eight points, Taylor Boness tallied six, while Morgan Emery and Alyssia Thibodeaux added five points apiece. Kailey Holt, Anne Marie Johnson, Christy Ward, Michelle Cobb and Kendra Staggs all added two points apiece.
In junior high action, Riverside rolled to a 42-17 win. Lauren Weaver led the way with 14 points while Anna Brickell added 11. Kenzley Wilson scored five, Becca Frayer tallied four, while Lindsey Bennett and Cassie Harder-Neely netted two points apiece. Teylor Hill, Kristen Carner, Emilee Manues and Jordan Miller added one point each.
The Lady Rebels jumped to a 17-3 first period lead and held a 29-7 advantage at the half. Riverside took a 40-9 lead into the fourth quarter.
