Piggott spoiled Manila's homecoming with a 55-52 victory behind Rob Rice's 19 point performance Friday night in 3A-3 conference action at Manila.

Sam Yates scored 12 and Daniel Baldwin added 10 more for the Mohawks, who broke an 18-18 first period tie to take a 32-28 lead into the dressing room at the half. Piggott maintained their four point advantage through the third quarter, and held a 42-38 lead heading into the final frame.

J.J. Helton pumped in 15 points to lead Manila (2-11, 2-8) while Kyle Evans and Garrett Scott added 11 and 10 points respectively.

Manila picked up their second win of the season with a 63-45 victory over Tuckerman Tuesday night as J.J. Helton poured in 25 points, including five buckets from beyond the three point arc. Garrett Scott and Jared Burks scored eight points apiece, senior Kyle Evans tallied seven, while Nathan Bell and Levi Wallace added six points each. Tray Malone rounded out the Lion attack with three points. Manila was 14-28 on free throw attempts and drilled nine three pointers on the night.

Chad Church led Tuckerman with 14 points. The Bulldogs finished 8-13 from the foul line and made three treys.

Manila held a 21-9 lead after the first quarter and led 30-17 at the half. The Lions put the game away in the third period, outscoring Tuckerman 18-9 to take a 48-26 lead into the final frame.

Manila began the week with a 65-48 loss to Earle. The Bulldogs used a balanced scoring attack, placing four players in double figures. Earle took a 21-16 lead after the first quarter and held a 30-29 edge at the half. The Bulldogs outscored Manila 26-9 in the third period to take a 56-38 lead into the final quarter.

Garrett Scott led the Lions with 16 points while J.J. Helton and Kyle Evans added eight and seven points respectively. Tray Malone scored six, Nathan Bell tallied five, Levi Wallace netted four while Cody Webb pitched in two points to round out the Lion attack.

In junior high action, Manila defeated Piggott 38-37 on Friday night. The Lions began the week dropping a 69-26 decision to Earle before losing to Tuckerman 54-49 Tuesday night.

Earle pumped in nine three pointers in Tuesday night's victory over the Lions. The Bulldogs and Lions battled to a 10-10 tie after the first quarter before Earle took a 27-20 lead at halftime. Earle outscored Manila 26-6 in the third period to blow the game open.

Dillon Burrow led Manila with 12 points while Dylan Bogle added seven. Blake Miller scored three while Zack Day and Garrett Baker added two points apiece.

Tuckerman placed four players in double figures to slip past Manila in Tuesday night's conference battle. The Lions held a 15-13 lead after the first period before Tuckerman rallied for a 27-22 lead at the half. The Bulldogs held a 35-34 edge heading into the final frame.

Dylan Bogle paced the Lions with 14 points while Blake Miller and Zack Day added 13 and 10 points respectively. Dillon Burrow scored nine while Zach Reinhart added three. The Lions connected on 15-20 free throws and drained four three pointers on the night.

The Lions will return to action Tuesday night when they play host to Brookland before taking on Harrisburg Friday night at Manila.
