Marmaduke used 13 three pointers to outscore Buffalo Island Central 88-78 in a 2A-3 conference game Thursday night at Marmarduke.

The Lady Greyhounds placed four players in double figures led by Megan Nolan who scored 23 points including five treys. Rachel Morton pumped in 22 points and had four three pointers on the night while Chelsea Drope and Morgan Hatcher added 18 and 14 points respectively. Maramduke finished 15-30 from the foul line.

Buffalo Island Central also placed four players in double figures, led by Jordan Miller's 22 point performance. Jenna Pike scored 15 points, Holly Dempsey pumped in 13 while Jamie Harris tallied 11 points. Corie Flannigan just missed double digits, chipping in nine points. Shelby Qualls and Taylor Owens rounded out the Lady Mustang attack with four points apiece. BIC hit 20-35 free throws and made two treys on the night.

Marmaduke bolted to a 36-12 lead after the first quarter and held a 52-32 advantage at the half. The Lady Greyhounds took a 72-50 lead into the final quarter before watching BIC rally to cut the final margin to 10.

In junior high action, BIC remained undefeated with a 38-36 nail-biter over Marmaduke. The Lady Mustangs (16-0, 2-0) led nine to five after the first quarter and 24-14 at the half. BIC built their lead to 14 points, 32-18, after three periods but watched Marmaduke rally in the fourth quarter before holding on for the victory.

Brittany Fowler and Demi Hargrove led BIC with 12 and 11 points respectively. Jacey Sneed scored nine, Kaylee Greathouse netted four while Tiffany Parker added two points to round out the Lady Mustang scoring.

Rachel Van Gilder led Marmaduke with 14 points while Jessica Lee added 12.

The senior Lady Mustangs (4-8, 0-2) traveled to Batesville for the Lyon College Tournament, losing in the first round to Cave City 64-27.

Cheyenne Childers paced Cave City with 17 points.

Whitlee Rolland led BIC with six points while Jenna Pike scored five. Taylor Owens and Corie Flannigan netted four points apiece while Jordan Miller, Holly Dempsey, Jamie Harris and Shelby Qualls added two points each.
