Board member McFall selected as ASBA delegate

Buffalo Island Central School Board selected Darrin McFall to serve as delegate at the ASBA Convention on Dec. 3-5 in Little Rock at the Nov. 10 meeting.

After approving the minutes and reviewing the financial reports, the board accepted the resignation of Elisa Rodriquez, special needs assistant, at West Elementary.

The board unanimously voted to hire Joanna Lopez, West elementary; Lisa Parker, junior high; and Jency Fisher, East elementary, as special needs assistants on an as needed basis.

The board agreed to renew the student accident coverage and Dwight Jones Agency and to renew the district's unemployment compensation coverage with ASBA.

The board approved the student transfer request for Aaron Tucker to Riverside.

Bids for fencing the softball park were received including J&J Fencing - $14,994, with no dugouts or netting; Dacus Fencing $15,883 including dugouts (without roof) and netting.

Board in-service hour requirements and current status were discussed.
