Aubrey Guy Pennington, 67, of Manila died Thursday, Nov. 20, 2008, at Saint Elizabeth's Place in Jonesboro after an extensive illness. Born June 6, 1941, in Leachville to the late Roy Pennington and Elise Witcher, he was a lifelong area resident. He attended Leachville School, was a member of Brown's Chapel Baptist Church and a truck driver for Ace Trucking.

Survivors include his wife, Inez Pennington of Gosnell; four sons, Glen Pennington of Manila, Alan Pennington of Borger, Texas, Adam Pennington of Abilene, Texas, and Donald Pennington of Amarillo, Texas; five sisters, Marie Johnson of Chicago, Ill., Thelma Alexander of Brookland, Lucille Christie and Mary Phillips, both of St. Louis, Mo., Joyce Riggs of Niles, Mich., 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Leroy, Frank and Don Pennington.

Services were 10 a.m. Saturday at Brown's Chapel Baptist Church near Manila with Rev. Greg Stull officiating. Burial was in Leachville Cemetery. Faith Funeral Service of Manila was in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Shawn Carroll, Jimmy McDole, Doyle Finley, Billy Carroll, Johnny Parsley, and Johnny Parsley, Jr.
